The following rules and regulations outline the criteria and procedures governing the institutional scholarships provided by North American University:

1. Availability: Scholarships may be limited and are granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

a. Students who meet or exceed the CGPA requirements will automatically qualify to renew their current Academic Merit Scholarship. Additionally, students surpassing CGPA requirements may be eligible to receive a Stallion Academic Excellence Award (excluding NAU Scholarship & International NAU Scholarship recipients).

a. Students with fewer than 18 credits earned while attending NAU are ineligible for review and will maintain their current scholarship award until the subsequent evaluation and renewal period.

b. Remedial courses are not included in the calculation of earned credit hours and do not influence a student’s CGPA.

7. Eligible international students may receive a combined maximum total of $22,000 in institutional grants and scholarships per academic year.

8. Scholarships will be adjusted for students eligible for an employee discount if the scholarship amount surpasses their tuition and fees.

9. In cases where an account balance exists from a previous semester or academic year, institutional grants and scholarships will first be allocated to clear the prior balance due. Any remaining institutional aid will then be applied to the current semester’s balance.
